Name: Elizabeth Falin
Age: 15
Group: Other- she's a Reporter
Physical Description: Pilot is the kind of girl you have a hard time missing on the streets. For one, she's tall and rather lanky and skinny. She's a fast runner though, and has very long fingers- ones that she uses almost every day to jot down information on a small steno-like pad she carries with her everywhere.
Her hair is wheat-colored, and usually falls in her face if not kept up. Most of the time, she can be seen wearing a fedora, long pants and a trench-coat like jacket. The brim of the hat usually falls over her eyes, and you'll never find her without it.
History: If you ask Pilot to tell her life story, you'll notice really quickly that she repeats the same word over and over- "Grandma". Thats because Pilot was raised by one person- her grandma, Alice. There was a time when she was young- really little, about 1 or 2- that she had a family. A whole set- mom, dad and her. Sadly, dad decided to run off with another women, and mom fell ill. No memory of her mother or father was left with Pilot- instead, she just went to live with her grandma.
Now, thats where the real story begins. Pilot's grandma- Alice- was a different kind of person. For one, she was loud, boisterous and outspoken. If she had something to say, she'd say it; and you better have listened. Alice Falin could go on for hours talking about something she believed in. That was just her.
Pilot was always content with her grandma, but sometimes annoyed her. Pilot often pestered her with questions, interrogating her to no end about whatever. "Why is the sky blue?", "Where were you at 5'past yesterday"? All the time, everyday.
Growing up, she never had many friends. Most kids found her weird and pushy, nosy and overly curious as well. That was just Pilot though. When she was 7 years old, her grandmother fell ill. Unable to provide for her, Alice Falin passed away, leaving Pilot alone. Quickly, she ended up managing herself on the streets. Until she was ten, she lived with random packs of kids- thiefs, pickpockets, Newsies, just flying around everywhere.
One night, she settled down in a Newspaper printing factory. Just for the night- just for some sleep. That morning, she woke up to find a wide-eyed old man staring at her, curious as to how she gotten in.
Within minutes, she'd pelted him with her questions like bullets being fired, and he was speechless. There was one thing this man knew- this kid was going places. He let her stay in the factory, and a week later he handed her a pad of lined-paper and a writing utensil. His exact words were, "You want to be a reporter, kid?" So Pilot accepted, and to this day, still is a reporter. She sleeps in the factory most of the time, but most of the time she's out and about, collecting information.
Personality: Maybe a bit pushy, or just curious- Pilot is a different type of girl. For one, she only speaks in questions, and she doesn't speak alot. One thing she's learned as a reporter- you let THEM do the talking. She knows the right questions to ask, and when to ask them.
Pilot's the type of girl who gets more work done- with better results- alone. She would rather, as she says, "Fly solo". She knows which people are worth her time, and which aren't. If you aren't, she won't even bother to waste her breath on you.
She does tend to lie alot, and does bend the truth just a wee bit.
