**NEW DAY**
Leaning against the railing of the Brooklyn Bridge, rocking back and forth on her feet. God damnit where was Thirteen!? He promised to be here half an hour ago! Growling lightly, Animal turned around to look out at what was the borderline of Brooklyn and Manhattan. It amazed her how their newsies got along so freaking well. Manhattan to her was the one the... way to cheerful places that seemed like they were drunk all the time yet they werent, to her knowledge. O'Brady's was the only place that served newsies, practically, and whatever they couldn't get there, they got from her.
While Manhattan was, how one would say, free spirited, Brooklyn was the exact opposite. They were different. A place full of kids who probably had never heard of the games Hide and Seek, or Tag. Animal didn't have to be a genius to know that Brooklyn was like that. She ran her business in Brooklyn, and it was simple. Get the booze: get the cash. It was a simple, easy transaction half the time. Normally Mali would help with the transactions, since he intimidated people, but other than that, Animal was a free agent, except for her gang.
You didn't forget the kids like Thirteen, or China or Mali, hell you didn't forget the twins either. They were the kids who ran the system, and Animal honestly didn't give a rat's arse if you tried to steal from them. But hurt one of her kids and she'd kill you, no questions asked, she had a few cops on her side, the ones who turned the other way when she was sellin'. They knew that if they didn't let her, she'd rat 'em out for anything and everything.
