Dancer was, cleaning. She had a broom in her hand, and with gracefully movements, she moved across the floor. The broom was almost like a dance partner. In her head she counted out a 'one- two- three' beat as she went across the floor of the main room of the lodge. Her hands rested on the top in the broom, and she gave a curtsey before beginning, deciding on a slow waltz. She watched feet for only a moment, but dancing just came naturally to her.
She moved into the kitchen slowly, sweeping up in there. She was proud to know that Staten had the cleanest lodge in all of New York. Maybe all of hte world. It was her obligation. She cleaned up every day, after she sold all her papers, which wasn't too hard, she just had to work at it. Then all she had to do was sweep, clean the floor, then the tables and counters, pick up in all the other rooms and then do whatever was needed. For her, the grime accumulated everyday. She knew it frustrated the other newsies, but she couldn't help it. The world was such a dirty place.

Jumper crashed and smashed down the lodging house stair case, stopping at the bottom to look around and listen to the quiet. Where was everybody? Well, Peep was probably out hearing things he shouldn't and putting them into memory. The Entertainer was...entertaining? Babydoll, who knew, probably hiding from him. Silence, looking for Babydoll? And last but not least, Missy, probably hopefully not with Chance or August. He wasn't sure where they were but he figured they were pretty good guesses. He wandered into the main floor, stopping to look around and blink.
It was oh so...clean! Well, no that that was unusual but with no people in the room beside him, it just seemed even more clean than usual. "Wow Invisible maid, you were really bloody at it today!" He exclaimed in awe, before pausing to notice his grumbling stomach. He frowned, patting it, and moved towards the kitchen. He pushed the door open, not noticing it slam and moved right past Dancer, not seeming to notice her and started going through the cabinets, strewing its contents here and there, leaving every other cabinet door hanging open, grumbling unsatisfactorily to himself as he went, trying to find something to stifle his hunger. He did not in any way, shape, or form, notice the mess or havoc he was ensuing upon the kitchen. He was just bloody hungry!

Dancer had finished her dance with the broom, when she heard something that made hr think of a herd of wild, terrified, 100 feet tall elephants and rhinos were charging through the kitchen and living areas of the lodge. Jumper moved straight past her and began to destroy the kitchen. Destroy her kitchen. The cabinets flung open and things moved out of it onto the floor and the counters. The jam from the upper right cabinet, where all the fruit related things were, fell onto the floor. And how long did it take for the ants to come? Seconds. Ketchup (from the same cabinet) slipped onto the counters. Dancer grabbed a rag and began to scrub the ground hard. And hum. Loud. It happened to be "When the Saint's Go Marching In." The sticky jam began to ooze onto her fingers. She just began to hum louder, and louder, louder. She scrubbed harder, and harder, and harder. All day she had been working hard on the kitchen, and it was pristine, better than it had been in years. And Jumper. "JUMPER!"
